Solar panels can generate electricity even in cloudy or cold climates. While their efficiency may be lower under such conditions, properly designed solar panel systems can still provide a significant energy supply.

Solar panel systems require minimal maintenance. Occasional cleaning to remove dirt and debris and visual inspections for any damage or shading issues are typically sufficient. Battery maintenance may involve checking water levels for lead-acid batteries and monitoring the system for any unusual behavior or issues.
